Volunteers
In the 12 months since the tsunami, approximately 120 teams from eight countries have assisted with construction. The international teams came from Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States. Through the Charity Challenge program, Great Britain sent the most teams: 45. Singapore sent teams to all four countries and was the source of the only international teams to work with Habitat in Aceh province, Indonesia.

Both Indonesia and Thailand had strong support from domestic volunteer teams, especially those fielded by corporate donors. By year's end, more than 770 domestic volunteers (31 teams) had assisted with the work in Thailand, and 12 Indonesian teams had contributed 110 volunteers.
